International Day

Greetings ESS Community! Please mark your calendars for ESS International Day - November 12th, 2021! We will celebrate community and culture throughout the day -- all in a way that helps keep everyone safe.

We'll start the morning with a special morning announcements welcome in some of the many languages spoken at ESS. After school, there will be samples of treats from many different cultures distributed at different locations in the ESS community. And, as a big finale, that night there will be a virtual gathering and performance from 6:30-7:30pm on Zoom. Further details will follow!

Here's ways to participate and share your culture with the school community for International Day! 1) Recipes: Send your favorite family recipes for cultural foods and share the types of meal traditions your family finds comforting. 2) Video Greetings and Photos: Send a short video of your family offering a greeting in your chosen language and photographs that help share an element of your family's culture . These will go into a video that will be shared during the morning announcements at school as well as during the evening Zoom event. If you have a family recipe, greeting or photograph you would like to share, please email communications@esspta.org. 3) Volunteer to help: Finally, we will need many volunteers to help with distributing treats to share with families and staff. If you are interested in helping please sign up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4CABAF28A0F85-help Thank you!
