What are Panda Clubs / Qué son los Panda Clubs? / ፓንዳ ክለቦች ምንድን ናቸው
After-school enrichment programs, held once a week for 6-8 weeks. Sessions held in fall, winter & spring. Students will be walked to their class, just pick them up afterwards!
Programas de enriquecimiento después de la escuela, que se realizan una vez a la semana durante 6 a 8 semanas. Las sesiones se llevan a cabo en otoño, invierno y primavera. Los estudiantes serán acompañados a su clase; ¡solo recójalos después!
ከትምህርት ቤት በኋላ ሳምንት አንድ ጊዜ ለ6–8 ሳምንት የሚካሄዱ ማሻሻያ ፕሮግራሞች ናቸው። ስብሰባዎቹ በበጎ ወቅት በገና ይካሄዳሉ፣ ተማሪዎች ወደ ክለባቸው ይወሰዳሉ፤ ከኋላ በቀላሉ ይሰበስቡት!

Chess - $170 (Silver Knights Chess, 4-5pm, 7 weeks)
We’ve taught champions, but most students are beginners who just want to learn and have fun. Classes include lessons and practice games, plus free online extras like tournaments and a ChessKid membership. All supplies provided. All skill levels are welcome.
Hemos enseñado a campeones, pero la mayoría son principiantes que solo quieren aprender y pasarla bien. Las clases incluyen lecciones y juegos de práctica, además de extras en línea como torneos y una membresía de ChessKid. Todos los materiales están incluidos. ¡Todos los niveles son bienvenidos!

Basketball - $80 (1-Up-Handles, 4-5pm, 8 weeks)
Learn the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and moving effectively on the court. Kids are grouped by grade and participate in drills and mini-games each class to practice skills, build teamwork, and gain confidence.
Aprendan los fundamentos del baloncesto, incluyendo driblar, pasar, lanzar, defender y moverse con seguridad en la cancha. Los niños se agruparán por grado y participarán en ejercicios y mini-juegos en cada clase para practicar habilidades, fomentar el trabajo en equipo y aumentar su confianza.

All refunds will be made via the vendor. There will be no refunds offered after the first week of programs.

Two late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program without a refund. Vendors may charge a fee for late pickup.

All students are expected to follow ESS school rules. Parents will be contacted if there is a problem that cannot be remedied in class. ESS PTA reserves the right to remove your student from a program.

The vendors will make every effort to reschedule classes canceled due to unexpected MCPS or ESS closings, but we cannot guarantee every class can be made up. The vendors cannot offer make-up classes or refunds due to a student’s inability to attend class.
