Important message on quarantine and students

Dear ESS PTA community,

Last night a very important message on quarantine and students went out from the MCPS interim superintendent. I urge everyone to please read it very carefully as this will seriously impact every single family.

Further, over 1,000 staff and students are now in quarantine after the first week of school, according to media reports.

MCCPTA is leading a series of meetings—including this morning—with families to provide support and advocacy. The county NAACP chapter and the Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Equity and Excellence are also working with PTA to help come up with equitable solutions. Our PTA chapter is actively engaged with all of those efforts.
